Resumen de Sensitivity Analysis of Optimal Designs for Accelerated Life Testing

Eric M. Monroe, Rong Pan, Christine M. Anderson-Cook, Connie M. Borror

  • Product lifetime assessments are increasingly conducted under time, material, and cost restraints. While the objective is to select combinations of input factors that yield optimal results, accelerated life tests often present difficult choices compounded by the uncertainty in model parameter estimates. In addition, there have been concerns with the robustness of commonly used designs to small departures in parameter estimates. The issue of model parameter sensitivity to the selection of an accelerated life test is examined. Trade-off implications of choice of experimental design, sample size, and censoring are considered.
