This work studies and publishes a hitherto unknown songbook of a single author, written in the mid-Sixteenth century and preserved fragmentarily. It is anonymous.
It contains the only 100 compositions that we conserve from the 180 original ones:
98 compositions are in Catalan and 2 in Spanish (num. 23 and 24). All of them were unkonwn and only one (num. 21) copies verses that were probably traditional, because they appear with small variations in the songbook Flor de enamorados by Joan Timoneda. Despite the metric and strophic imperfections and the reiteration of the common places of the cancioneril poetry, there are also new themes and a popular lexicon and syntax that make it interesting.
