Resumen de Soggettività ed emotività nella poesia realistica medievale: dai trovatori al Duecento italiano

The study of subjectivity and emotions in Romance poetry has been the subject of considerable developments over the last years, but exclusively as far as love poems are concerned; on the contrary, what I here define as «realistic poetry»—that is, poetry which deals with all those aspects of reality that do not imply courtly love— has never been the focus of such studies. This article focuses on the Provençal and Italian lyric traditions and offers some considerations on the relationship between the poet’s subjectivity and the literary themes that are involved in the description of reality, where two phenomena can be observed: on the one hand, several new semantic fields are included in the lexical repertory of lyric poetry, while, on the other hand, some semantic fields of traditional love poetry can be re-used in a novel way.

Lo studio della soggettività e dell’emotività nella lirica romanza è stato effettuato negli ultimi anni con profitto nel campo della lirica d’amore, mentre nel campo che qui si definisce «poesia realistica», cioè quella che parla di tutto ciò che non rientra nell’ambito dei rapporti amorosi, è ancora sostanzialmente da indagare. Il contributo si sofferma sulla tradizione provenzale e italiana e cerca di approfondire il rapporto che unisce la soggettività del poeta a temi e motivi relativi alla descrizione della realtà nella sua multiformità, dove al posto del lessico amoroso entrano in scena una serie di campi semantici nuovi, da un lato, mentre, dall’altro, gli stessi usi lessicali della canso tradizionale vengono reimpiegati e rifunzionalizzati nella poesia realistica.
