    En este artículo, el profesor Antton Irusta explica la experiencia que llevan desarrollando durante cinco años en la ikastola Urretxindorra con el libro de texto Literatura Unibertsala, Batxilergoa 2. El libro vio la luz en 2012, de la mano de la editorial Erein y de la asociación EIZIE, gracias a la ayuda del Gobierno Vasco. En opinión del autor, es una experiencia muy positiva, porque, entre otros aspectos, la literatura ofrece al alumnado la posibilidad de contrastar sus experiencias dentro del proceso de maduración intelectual, estético y afectivo, así como de conocer realidades lejanas en el espacio y en el tiempo, para poder ir introduciéndose en la tradición cultural, al tiempo que les ayuda a reflexionar sobre el comportamiento humano.

    In this article, professor Antton Irusta discusses the very positive experience of using the textbook Literatura Unibertsala: Batxilergoa 2 [Universal Literature: High School 2] for the last five years at Urretxindorra School. The book was first published in 2012 by publishing house Erein in collaboration with EIZIE, and with assistance from the Basque Government. In the author’s opinion, the experience has been memorable because, among other things, literature allows the students to compare their own experiences within the process of their intellectual, esthetic, and affective maturation, such as by becoming familiar with realities that are distant in both space and time. This in turn helps them to enter their cultural tradition and learn to reflect on human behavior.

    Dans cet article, le professeur de littérature Antton Irusta rapporte son expérience de cinq ans à l’ikastola Urretxindorra où il utilise dans ses cours l’ouvrage intitulé Literatura Unibertsala, Batxilergoa 2. Ce manuel scolaire parut en 2012 chez la maison d’édition Erein, en collaboration avec l’association EIZIE –qui promeut la traduction en basque des œuvres de la littérature universelle– et avec l’aide financière du Gouvernement Basque. Selon l’auteur de cet article, il s’agit d’une expérience très positive, car la littérature offre aux élèves la possibilité de contraster leurs expériences dans le cadre de leur processus de maturité intellectuelle, esthétique et affective, ainsi que de connaître des réalités lointaines dans l’espace et dans le temps, leur permettant d’assimiler la culture à la tradition et de réfléchir sur le comportement humain.

    Artikulu honetan, Urretxindorra ikastolan Literatura Unibertsala, Batxilergoa 2 testu liburuarekin nolako esperientzia ona izan duten azaltzen du egileak. Literatura itzulia sustatzeko ekimenen barruan irten zen plazara liburua, 2012an, EIZIEren eta Erein argitaletxearen arteko lankidetzaren ondorioz, Eusko Jaurlaritzaren laguntzarekin. 5 urte daramate, joanean-joanean, Batxilergoko bigarren urteko ikasleekin literatura unibertsala lantzen, eta, Antton Irusta irakaslearen iritziz, oso esperientzia gogoangarria da, literaturak bene-benetan ematen baitie gazteei heldutasun intelektual, estetiko eta afektiboan beren esperientziak kontrastatzeko aukera, bai eta beren ingurunetik edo garaitik urrun dauden errealitateak ezagutzekoa ere, kultura tradizioan barneratzen joateko eta gizakion jokamoldeaz hausnartzen laguntzeko.
