Resumen de La catedral del Buen Pastor de San Sebastián. Aproximación al estudio tipológico

El análisis histórico.artístico de la Catedral del "Buen Pastor" evidencia que la ampliación de la ciudad de San Sebastián y la concepción de un proyecto urbanístico de corte más "moderno", propiciaron la elevación de dicho templo parroquial. Asimismo, es de gran relevancia la existencia de un edificio neogótico de estas propiedades, dado que muestra el gusto artístico de la burguesía decimonónica y su influencia a la hora de la erección del templo. Finalmente, el estudio expone las características tipológicas más relevantes de la obra, así como la historia de su construcción y reformas.

The historical and artistic analysis of the "Buen Pastor" Cathedral in San Sebastian provides evidence that the extension of the city and the conception of a "modern" urban project, contributed to its relevance. Furthermore, the existence of a neogothic building with these characteristics is of great significance, considering that it shows the taste of the nineteenth century's bourgeoisie and its influence in the construction of the temple. Finally, this study explains the most important characteristics of the building typology, as well as the history of its construction and alterations.

Artzain Onaren Katedralaren analisi historiko-artistikoak ondorio bat agerian uzten du; hau da, Donostiako handitzeak eta hirigintza proiektu berriaren ikusmolde "modernoak" parrokia-elizaren eraikuntzarako bidea ekarri zutela. Era berean, garrantzitsua da oso ezaugarri neogotikoak dituen eraikin honen existentzia, batez ere, hemeretzigarren mendeko burgesiaren gustu artistikoa eta tenpluaren eraikuntzan klase horrek izandako influentzia nabarmentzen baititu. Azkenik, artikuluak katedralaren berezitasun tipologiko nagusienak azaltzen ditu eta baita eraikuntzaren eta erreformen historia ere.
