Resumen de Carl Schmitt y la corrosión del Estado de Derecho por la cultura totalitaria

Este artículo se centra en la formación de la cultura totalitaria en el siglo XX y en cómo ésta conecta con la crítica de la constitución democrática de nuestras sociedades occidentales. El artículo analiza las posibles conexiones de esta crítica con su representación teórica en la tradición política del fascismo y en el pensamiento político-jurídico de Schmitt. El texto pretende desvelar cómo algunas de estas articulaciones repercutieron en los movimientos políticos autoritarios, suficientemente fuertes para ensombrecer el Estado de Derecho en las décadas de 1920 y 1930. El artículo se centra en la defensa del Estado de Derecho (y en sus tradiciones políticas liberal, democrática y parlamentaria) frente a los ataques de la cultura política autoritaria de diferentes tipos.

This article focuses on the formation of totalitarian culture in the 20th century and how it found ways of connecting to the criticism of the contemporary democratic constitution of our occidental societies. This article analyzes the possible connecting lines of this criticism with the theoretical representation of the political tradition of fascism and Schmitt´s political and juridical thought. This article aims to reveal how some of these connections reverberated in the authoritarian political movements that appeared strong enough to undermine the Rule of Law in the decades of 1920S and 1930S. This article concern itself with the constant exposure of the Rule of Law (and its traditions linked to a liberal political, democratic and parliamentary culture) to the attacks from the totalitarian political culture of different patterns.
