    La reciente restauración de la "Vista de Zaragoza", de Juan Bautista Martínez del Mazo, ha arrojado algunos datos importantes sobre la historia material del cuadro y ha dado ocasión para profundizar en su conocimiento. El presente artículo da cuenta de los problemas que planteaba la restauración y de las soluciones por las que se ha optado, y también sirve para difundir los nuevos datos e hipótesis que han ido saliendo a la luz, que se relacionan sobre todo con el aspecto original del cuadro, con el orden de su lectura formal y narrativa, con la identidad de algunos de sus personajes, con los avatares que ha sufrido y con su singularidad técnica.

    The recent restorarion of Juan Bautista Martínez del Mazo's "View of Zaragoza" has brought to light new information on the material history of the painting, making it possible to gain a deeper understanding of it. This article enumerates the problems posed by the restoration and the solutions that were adopted. It also presents new facts and theories, mainly related to the original aspect of the painting, the order of its formal reading and its narrative, the identity of some of its figures, the changes it has undergone over time and its unique technique.
