  • Resumen
    • Zhora Drif is a former FLN freedom fighter, imprisoned for a terrorist attack that took place in 1957. After the independence of Algeria, she became member of the constituent assembly and senator of the Algerian Parliament, a role she occupied until 2016. In the conversation with Professor Riccardo Brizzi she discusses the legacy of the Algerian struggle for national independence. She focuses in particular on colonization and the danger of revisionism, as well as France's tendency to neglect its colonial past. The evolution of the condition of women during the colonial period, the war of liberation, the independence, the role of women's militancy in the struggle against the French colonial power and then in the independent Algeria are the main topics of this conversation.
