Utilización de la "hora del recreo" en los centros escolares para la práctica de actividades físico-deportivas

    En este artículo se pretende mostrar una experiencia que se lleva realizando en el IES Blasco Ibáñez de Cullera consistente en utilizar el descanso que disponen los alumnos durante su jornada escolar, para la realización de actividades físico-deportivas de carácter competitivo.

    Un porcentaje de alumnos bastante elevado participan de estas actividades, lo que les permite incrementar el tiempo de práctica deportiva en el centro escolar, a nuestro entender insuficiente con dos clases lectivas semanales.

    Los campeonatos no entorpecen la marcha del curso y se realizan durante su estancia en el centro, lo cual favorece su participación.

    Los objetivos generales de etapa y de área son muy ambiciosos para la educación secundaria obligatoria y para el bachillerato, y pensamos que con estas actividades contribuimos a su consecución.

    In this article we try to show an experience that we have been carrying out at Blasco Ibáñez high school of Cullera. This experience consist of using the students´ break time to practise physical activities including competitive sports.

    A fairly high percentage of students participate in these activities, allowing them to increase the irtime in sports at school, which, in our view is insufficient, as they only have two lessons per week.

    The championships do not hinder the progress of the course and take place during their stay in the center, which encourages their participation.

    The overall objectives of level and area are very ambitious for compulsory secondary education and “bachillerato” and we think that these activities contribute to their achievement.
