Los lingüistas suecos y la filología aragonesa

    El presente trabajo estudia las contribuciones a la Filología aragonesa realizadas por lingüistas y filólogos suecos. Iniciada en la segunda mitad del siglo XIX con ediciones de filólogos como Edvard Lidforss, de esta tradición han salido investigadores de renombre internacional, como Gunnar Tilander, quien publicó una serie de ediciones —altamente influyentes— de textos jurídicos medievales, o Regina af Geijerstam, quien estudió extensamente las obras de Juan Fernández de Heredia, y muy en particular la Grant Crónica de Espanya (1385). Con el objetivo de arrojar luz sobre la tradición académica que fomentó a estos, y otros, investigadores, en el estudio se examina el trasfondo histórico, los pasos iniciales y el desarrollo posterior, así como posibles implicaciones para el futuro de esta línea de investigación, que aún sigue viva en el país nórdico, si bien de forma menos prominente que antes.

    This study examines the contributions made to the field of Aragonese philology by Swedish linguists and philologists. Starting with editions published in the 19th century by scholars such as Edvard Lidforss, this tradition produced two acclaimed researchers in the 20th century: on the one hand Gunnar Tilander, who published a series of highly influential editions of medieval law texts, and on the other Regina af Geijerstam, who studied the works of Juan Fernández de Heredia extensively, especially the Grant Crónica de Espanya (1385). To shed light on the growth of the tradition which fostered these, and other, researchers, the study examines the academic background, the initial steps and subsequent development, as well as possible implications for the future of this school of research, which still persists within the Swedish universities, albeit less prominently than before.
