    El artículo reflexiona acerca de la transformación de la idea de revolución en los años sesenta para una parte de la izquierda latinoamericana, que abandona y critica la propuesta comunista de la revolución por etapas y defiende la inmediatez del cambio siguiendo el ejemplo de la Revolución cubana. La fuerte polarización entre estas dos concepciones acerca del significado y las vías de la revolución, darán pie desde entonces a una profunda división en la izquierda latinoamericana que será clave en su evolución organizativa y acción desde 1960.

    The article reflects on the transformation of the idea of revolution in the sixties for a part of the Latin American left, which abandoned and criticized the Communist proposal of the revolution in stages and defended the immediacy of change following the example of the Cuban Revolution. The strong polarization between these two conceptions about the meaning and the ways of the revolution will, from then on, give rise to a deep division in the Latin American left that will be key in its organizational evolution and action since 1960.
