    At the beginning of the thirteenth century was written in Paris an adaptation in figurae of the De missarum mysteriis of cardinal Lothar, become pope Innocent III. Between the thirteenth and the fifteenth century, eleven manuscripts kept this original work which presents forty-two diagrams classifying characteristics of the mass, according to the systematic medieval mind. It included afterward an heuristic text explaining the ambiguities of certain diagrams. The article analyzes and publishes this graphic work and its explanatory text.

    Au début du xiiie siècle fut composée à Paris une adaptation sous forme de figurae du De missarum mysteriis du cardinal Lothaire, devenu le pape Innocent III. Entre le xiiie et le xve siècle, onze manuscrits ont conservé cette œuvre originale qui présente quarante-deux schémas classant les caractéristiques de la messe selon l’esprit de système propre au Moyen Âge. Elle fut en outre accompagnée par la suite d’un texte heuristique permettant d’expliquer les ambiguïtés de certaines figures. L’article analyse et édite l’œuvre graphique ainsi que son texte explicatif.

    Am Anfang des Dreizehnten Jahrhundert war eine Anpassung in figurae von De missarum mysteriis des Kardinales Lothar (papst Innozenz III) in Paris zusammengestellt. Zwischen dem Dreizehnten und das Fünfzehntel Jahrhundert haben elf Handschriften dieses originale Werk bewahrt, das zweiundvierzig Schemas vorstellt. Sie ordnen Besonderheiten der Messe und waren außerdem in der Folge mit einem heuristischen Text begleiten. Der Artikel analysiert und gibt das grafische Werk heraus mit sein erklärender Text.
