España fue siempre un país de emigrantes, pero desde hace unas décadas la situación se ha invertido. Desgraciadamente, estamos muy lejos de dar a los inmigrantes que viven entre nosotros el trato que hace todavía pocos años reclamábamos para los españoles que emigraron a Europa. El autor, después de un somero análisis socio-económico del fenómeno migratorio, ilumina a partir de la Biblia la actitud que el cristiano debe tener hacia los inmigrantes y sistematiza el magisterio reciente de la Iglesia sobre este tema.

Spain was always a country with many emigrants, but since a few decades ago, the situation has turned around. Unfortunately, we are far away from giving to the immigrants living among us the treat we demanded for the Spanish emigrants to Europe a few years ago. The author, after a quick social-economical analysis of the migratory phenomenon, enlightens, starting from the Bible, the attitude that a Christian should have towards immigrants and systematizes the recent Teaching of the Church about this issue.
