Resumen de Tamaño, crecimiento y competitividad de las empresas vascas desde un punto de vista económico-financiero

  Este trabajo analiza una selección de indicadores económico-financieros asociados a la competitividad, mediante contrastes de diferencia de medias entre diferentes grupos de empresas según el tamaño y el crecimiento, en el País Vasco y en el resto de España. Para ello se utiliza la información de balances y cuentas de resultados de 275.065 empresas en 2008 y 2014. Los resultados indican que las empresas con mayor capacidad de crecimiento, son también las más competitivas en cuanto a la mejora o conservación de la rentabilidad durante el periodo de análisis. Asimismo, que las empresas que experimentan un crecimiento superior son, al igual que las empresas grandes, las que hacen un uso más eficiente de sus activos y tienen mejor capacidad para hacer frente a sus deudas. Los resultados confirman, además, que el peso de los activos financieros aumenta progresivamente con el tamaño de la empresa. Finalmente, las empresas con mayor capacidad de crecimiento se encuentran entre las más endeudadas al final del periodo de análisis.

  This study analyses a selection of economic and financial indicators associated with competitiveness, by evaluating mean differences between groups of firms according to their size and growth in the Basque country and in the rest of Spain. To that end, information is used concerning the balance sheets and operating accounts of 275,065 firms for the financial years 2008 and 2014. The results show that, the firms with the greatest capability for growth are also the most competitive in terms of improving and maintaining profitability over the course of the period analysed. There is also evidence that it is the firms with the greatest growth and the largest firms that make the most efficient use of their assets and are best able to tackle their debts. Our results also confirm that the weight of financial assets increases gradually with company size. Finally, in line with their needs for additional funding, the firms with the greatest capability for growth are among the most heavily indebted at the end of the period analysed.

  Lan honetan, aztergai hartzen da lehiakortasunarekin lotutako ekonomia- eta finantza-adierazleen hautaketa; horretarako, batezbestekoen diferentziaren kontrasteak erkatu dira enpresa-talde desberdinen artean, tamainaren eta hazkundearen arabera aukeratuta, Euskal Autonomia Erkidegoan eta Espainian ere bai. Besteak beste, 275.065 enpresaren balantze eta emaitzen kontuei buruzko informazioa erabili da, 2008 eta 2014 urteetarako. Emaitzek adierazten dute hazteko gaitasun handiena duten enpresak, lehiakorrenak ere badirela, errentagarritasuna hobetzeari edo kontserbatzeari dagokionez, aztertutako aldian. Halaber, hazkunde hobea duten enpresak, enpresa handiak bezala, aktiboen erabilera eraginkorragoa egiten dutenak eta zorrei aurre egiteko gaitasun hobea dutenak direla. Gainera, emaitzek berresten dute finantza-aktiboen pisuak gora egiten duela pixkanaka enpresa handitu ahala.
