    Numa época em que os desastres ou catástrofes estão a acontecer cada vez mais, o debate e a acção nunca se apresentaram como tão necessários na esfera da Protecção Civil. Assim, neste artigo expõem-se algumas ideias básicas da Análise de Risco e referem-se algumas questões nucleares, ainda em aberto. Assinala-se o facto de tão pouco se recorrer à Análise no Planeamento de Emergência e mostram-se as vantagens que o seu uso generalizado poderia trazer ao Sistema de Protecção Civil.

    At a time when the disasters or catastrophes are happening more and more, the debate and action never had as much and so necessary in the sphere of Civil Protection. Therefore, this article “Risks in Civil Protection: The Importance of Risk Analysis and Risk Management for the Prevention, Response... and Rehabilitation” sets out some basic ideas of Risk Analysis and mention, in addition, nuclear issues still in open discussion. It is noted that so little is used to analyse the Emergency Planning and show the advantages that their widespread use could bring to the Civil Protection System.
