    El presente artículo trata de dar una visión de conjunto de la relación y actuaciones tanto de Turquía como de Marruecos dentro de las organizaciones de seguridad y defensa mediterráneas, principalmente a lo largo de la segunda mitad del siglo XX e inicios del XXI. Partiendo de ello, hay que tener siempre presente la privilegiada posición geoestratégica que ambos países han ocupado y ocupan en el Mediterráneo, a caballo entre África, Asia y Europa, lo que les ha supuesto ser tenidas en consideración tanto por imperios, superpotencias, países u organizaciones con intereses en el Mare Nostrum.

    This article offers the big picture of the relationships and interventions of both Turkey and Morocco within the context of the security and defense organizations in the Mediterranean during the second half of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st century. In this regard, the privileged geostrategic position that both countries have had and still have in the Mediterranean has to be always taken into account. The fact that they are countries between Asia, Africa, and Europe implies that they are going to be always considered by any empires, superpowers, countries or organizations with any interest in the Mare Nostrum
