    El Doctor (Randa Haines, EE.UU., 1991, 117´),  es la película en la que se basa esta guía de intervención pedagógica. Trata la biografía de un prestigioso médico que se muestra insensible hacia sus pacientes. Una grave enfermedad le obligará a estar hospitalizado, experiencia que nunca había vivido. Entonces tendrá que padecer el mismo trato que dispensaba a sus pacientes. Superada su afección, se reincorpora a su trabajo aunque su vida ya no será la misma y sus enfermos agradecerán su humanidad y su reconocimiento profesional.Nos muestra una situación cotidiana vivida por todas las personas que deben transitar por los hospitales y consultas. A la vez, abre camino a distintos colectivos sociales que desde variadas esferas persiguen el logro de una medicina verdaderamente humana.Además de analizar los conocimientos sobre cine, educación para la salud, pedagogía hospitalaria y ética profesional, también se trabaja la educación emocional y valores como el respeto y la comprensión.
