    En este estudio se presenta el panorama actual del subtitulado para sordos y personas con discapacidad auditiva (SPS) en España y Alemania desde una doble perspectiva. En primer lugar, presentamos el marco normativo que regula el sector audiovisual, analizando a su vez la evolución que se ha llevado a cabo en la implantación del SPS en televisión en ambos países. En segundo lugar, exponemos con una metodología descriptiva la situación formativa universitaria actual en estos países dentro del campo de la accesibilidad a los medios, centrándonos en la modalidad de subtitulado para sordos y personas con discapacidad auditiva. Se parte de la premisa de que una educación de calidad en ese ámbito debe tener en cuenta la formación de profesionales competentes en el ámbito de la traducción audiovisual.

    This article studies the current situation of subtitling for the deaf and the hard of hearing in Spain and Germany from two perspectives. First of all, we present the regulatory framework governing the audiovisual sector and analyze the evolution that has taken place in the field of subtitling in television in both countries. Secondly, we describe the current situation with regards to university studies and qualifications in the field of media accessibility in Spain and Germany, focusing on the area of subtitling for the deaf and the hard of hearing. The study starts from the premise that quality education in the field of access to broadcast media should take into account the training of competent professionals in the field of audiovisual translation.
