Resumen de Mises y la cuantificación en Economía

Los objetivos de este trabajo son comprender la oposición de Mises a la cuantificación en teoría económica y a las generalizaciones cuantitativas en historia económica tanto como la evaluación de estas posiciones.
Se recurrirá al contexto histórico en que surge su pensamiento, a cotejarlo con la teoría de la medición, a un detallado análisis textual de su obra y al análisis de la plausibilidad interna de su pensamiento.
Se mostrará que a partir de una definición menos restrictiva que la formulada por Mises sería posible medir en teoría económica y que parece inconsistente la posibilidad de utilizar conceptos cuantitativos en historia económica teniendo en cuenta los fundamentos que propone. Se resalta su idea básica que detrás de una cuantificación siempre hay o debería haber una idea acerca del mundo.

The objectives of this article are to understand the opposition of Mises to quantification in economic theory and to quantitative generalizations in economic history as well as the evaluation of their respective positions.
We will refer to the historic context that shaped his thinking, match it to the theory of measurement, detail textual analysis of his work and analyze the internal plausibility of his thought.
It would be possible to measure in economic theory if this notion is defined less restrictively. Also, the possibility to use quantitative concepts in economic history considering the foundations proposed seems inconsistent. We highlight his basic idea which is that behind quantification, there always is or should be an idea about the world.
