El objetivo del estudio era averiguar si el género de los individuos y los años de permanencia en una ciudad influyen en el conocimiento de la misma .Para ello, se seleccionó un grupo de 119 estudiantes de la Facultad de Bellas Artes de la ciudad de Pontevedra. El resultado del estudio pone de manifiesto que el género de los participantes no influye en el recuerdo de los nombres de los edificios, sin embargo, los años de permanencia en la ciudad si lo hace. Las personas que llevaban más de un año viviendo en la ciudad recordaron el nombre de más edificios y plazas que las personas que llevaban menos de un año.

The aim of the study was to determine whether gender and years living in the city influenced the knowledge of the city. To analyze this, we selected a group of 119 students of Fine Arts in the city of Pontevedra. We found that gender did not influence the number of the names of the buildings, however, the number of years living in the city influenced the memory. People who had been living in the city of Pontevedra for more than a year remembered the name of more buildings and spaces that people who with less than one year of length of stay in the city.
