    Al producirse la satanización del dios Set en el Tercer Periodo Intermedio, su madre Tauret, o Tueris "la Grande", se metamorfoseó ocupando el lugar de Isis, esposa de Osiris, en Oxirrinco. El animal sagrado de Tueris era el pez oxirrinco, y nuestra Misión ha hallado dos depósitos votivos con varios miles de peces oxirrincos. La ciudad estaba conectada con el Per-jef, un templo subterráneo de Osiris, con importantes inscripciones históricas de época polemaica.

    When the demonization of the god Set in the Third Intermediate Period occurs, his mother Taweret, or Thoueris "the Great", metaomorphosed taking the place of Isis, wife of Osiris, in Oxyrhynchus. The sacred animal of Thoueris was the oxyrhynchus fish, and our Mission has found two votive deposits containing several thousand oxyrhunchus fishes. The city was connected to the Per-khef, a subterranean temple of Osiris, with important historical inscriptions of Ptolemaic times
