  Presentamos la siguiente revisión con el fin de aunar conceptos sobre la estructura biomorfológica periimplantaria.

  El enfoque principal se dirige hacia los aspectos anatomo-histológicos periimplantarios y hacia la "peculiar" unión tejido-implante. Se incluyen aportaciones histométricas, histológicas cuantitativas y cualitativas, bioquímicas e inmunológicas.

  Se puntualiza sobre aspectos mediadores de la biomorfología periimplantaria, como son. las características del implante y el efecto de la carga oclusal.

  Se ofrece un breve acercamiento a la microbiología comensal periimplanaria.

  We present the next review in order to combine concepts about the periimplant biomorphology structure.

  The main approach is applied to the periimplant anatomo-histological aspects and to the "peculiar" union tissue-implant. Histometric, quantitative and qualitative histological, biochemistry and inmunohistochemistry contributions, are included.

  Certain intermediary aspects of the periimplant biomorphology, as: the characteristic of the implant and the effect of the prosthetic loading forces, are fixed in memory.

  A initial aproximation to the periimplant microbiology is offered.
