La necesidad de compaginar las necesidades del ejército con la vida familiar de sus componentes, dio lugar a una variada, extensa y dispersa normativa restringiendo la libertad de los militares para contraer matrimonio.
La normativa se presenta y analiza en este artículo, desde la época antigua hasta la actual, pasando por los reinados de los Austrias, de los Borbones, de las dos Repúblicas y la de Franco.

The need to reconcile the needs of the army with the family life of yours components, gave place to a varied, extensive and dispersed regulation restricting the freedom of the military men to marry. The regulation appears and analyzes in this article, from the ancient epoch up to the current one, passing for the reigns of the Austrias, of the Borbones, of both Republics and that of Franco.
