    En toda restauración dental lo fundamental es reconstruir la anatomía dental y especialmente los puntos o superficies de contacto. En este trabajo se hace una revisión de las condiciones o características que deben tener las matrices o bandas en operatoria dental, sus indicaciones y clasificación, con sus ventajas e inconvenientes presentándose un nuevo tipo de bandas anatómicas preformadas (B.A.P.) comparando sus características con las matrices comerciales.

    In this paper we will try to present a summary of the diferents conditions of the matrix in operative dentistry. Classification, indications, and their adventajes or not, are showing. At tine a new anatomic performed bands, (B.A.P.) will be presented, making a comparative study with the comercials ones.
