  The trials of the criminal cases resulting from investigations of the so-called “Lava Jato Operation” divide the opinion of the legal world. While some people show their agreement with the many convictions that have already taken place, others have strongly criticized the position taken by members of the Public Prosecutors’ Office and the judge in charge of the case. The objective of this paper is to analyze the use of the willful blindness doctrine in the Brazilian scenario for trials that have already taken place.

  Os chamados julgamentos dos casos criminais, decorrentes das investigações da “Operação Lava Jato”, dividem as opiniões do mundo jurídico. Enquanto alguns se colocam a favor das muitas condenações já ocorridas, outros criticam fundamentalmente as posições dos membros do Ministério Público Federal e do Juiz encarregado do caso. O presente artigo pretende, assim, analisar a utilização, em alguns dos julgamentos já ocorridos, da willful blindness doctrine na realidade brasileira.
