El objetivo de este ensayo es identificar coincidencias relevantes entre el enfoque institucionalista, la antropología y las ciencias cognitivas. El concepto de institución usado por Thorstein Veblen a inicios del siglo xx y la visión del homo institutionalis de las escuelas contemporáneas constituyen los temas a partir de los cuales se exploran los aspectos convergentes del institucionalismo con la antropología y las ciencias cognitivas.

This paper aims to identify relevant coincidences between the institutional approach, anthropology and cognitive sciences. The concept of institution used by Thorstein Veblen in the beginning of the 20th century and the vision of homo institutionalis of contemporary schools constitute the topics from which the convergent aspects of institutionalism, anthropology and cognitive sciences will be explored.
