Resumen de Investigação historiográfica e ensino da História. Reflexões em didáctica da História a propósito das Metas Curriculares

This paper analyses how in Portugal, in a democratic society and with a democratic State, we devise and structure the links between historiography— research in history, archaeology, and history of art— and the way the study units of the History subject in primary education are taught. To this end, we use the recent process of drafting and submitting to public discussion, approval and implementation the Learning Outcomes of the subjects of the History and Geography of Portugal (5th and 6th grades) and History (7th to 9th grades) as a representative sample. The present author was part of the task force in charge of drafting these Learning Outcomes.

Analisa-se neste artigo a forma como em Portugal se concebe e se estrutura, numa sociedade e com um Estado democráticos, o relacionamento entre a historiografia — a investigação em história, arqueologia e história da arte — e a leccionação de unidades curriculares de História no Ensino Básico. Utiliza-se, para o efeito, enquanto amostra tida como representativa, o recente processo de elaboração e debate público, aprovação e aplicação das Metas Curriculares para as disciplinas de História e Geografia de Portugal (2º Ciclo do EB) e de História (3º Ciclo do EB). O autor do presente texto integrou o grupo de trabalho responsável pela elaboração das referidas Metas Curriculares.
