  • Resumen
    • Since more than 25 years, the Swiss Code on Private International Law (CPIL) is in force. Meanwhile, the legislation of all states has undergone rapid developments. These significant changes, and in particular the harmonization of the private international law as well as the international law on civil procedure in the European Union give rise to consider a revision of the CPIL (see part A). The author puts forward a specific proposal of an modification of the Common Provisions of the CPIL (i.e., Articles 1-32 CPIL). In particular, this proposal relates to methodical problems as well as new suggestions for improving the international coordination of different jurisdictions (see part B).
