    The reinforcing process of a language means consistent establishment of the appropriate efforts and dedication of its speakers; this is, for instance, good coordination among generations. Regarding the Basque language, we should analyse or reconsider all data we have at hand to see which functions are, or are not, already met. The purpose of the present article is to discuss the links between the Basque language and the working environment. Two reference points are taken into consideration: one, the importance of the relationships at work in a language normalization process and, two, the assessment of some facts - such as, socio-demographic data, language proficiency, network of the linguistic relations, usage of the language at work and in formal situations, typology according to interests and attitudes - related to the working world in the Basque Autonomous Community, Nafarroa and the French-Basque regions. More detailed data and applications are to come, but I would like to underline the fact that there are clear options to reinforce and conceive working Basque speaking spheres in the Basque speaking areas or where Basque is mainly spoken. And this is where priorities are placed.

    Hizkuntza baten berrindartze prozesuak, hiztunherri horren ahalegin eta energiak egoki eta erregularki ezartzea eskatzen du, belaunaldien artean ondo koordinatuz, besteak beste.

    Euskararen kasuan, betetzen dituen eta ez dituen funtzioak sakon aztertu edo berraztertu beharra dago, eskura dauden datu eta aplikazio guztiak kontutan hartuz. Helburu hori lortzearren, lan mundua eta euskararen arteko uztarketa aztertzen da artikulu honetan, maila bi aipatuz; batetik, lan munduak duen garrantzia hizkuntza normalkuntza prozesuan, eta bestetik Euskal Autonomia Elkartea, Nafarroa eta Iparraldeko lan munduko datuen aurreneko balorazioa: datu soziodemografikoak, hizkuntza gaitasuna, hizkuntza harremanen sarea, erabilera lan giroan, giro formaletan eta interes zein jarreren araberako tipologiari so eginez.

    Gerora datu eta esplotazio zehatzagoak etorriko dira, baina azpimarratu daiteke eskualderik euskaldunenetan euskarazko edo gehienbat euskarazko lan inguruneak sortze edo berrindartzeko aukerak badaudela, eta hortik abiarazten direla lehentasunak.
