    En este trabajo se analizacómo la guerra y la paz modificaron las fuerzas defensivas de las Canarias entre 1769-1799. Asimismo, estudio las principales fuerzas defensivas de las islas: las tropas regulares situadas en ellas, las fuerzas que venían de refuerzo, las milicias provinciales y el paisanaje.

    In this work I analyse how war and peace modified the military forces in the Canary Islands between the years 1769–1799. At the same time, I study the defensive forces of the Islands: the regular troops already located there, the forces sent as reinforcements, the provincial militias, and the civilian population.
