    El presente artículo analiza la última etapa de la vida del Inquisidor general fray Luis Aliaga (1565-1626). Personaje crucial durante buena parte del anterior reinado, sucumbió a los nuevos tiempos políticos iniciados con la entronización de Felipe IV, traducida en su caída en desgracia, posterior destierro y muerte prematura.

    The present article analyses the last stage of the life of the General Inquisitor monk Luis Aliaga (1565-1626). Aliaga was an important religious figure during the previous reign, but succumbed to the new political times begun with the enthronement of Philip IV, translat- ed in his fall in misfortune, later exile and premature death.
