  • The article reports developments in the Islamic bond or sukuk market as of mid-September 2016, particularly the efforts to reintroduce the bond in the mainstream market. Also cited are the plan by bank JP Morgan to include sukuk in its major bond indices, the growing popularity of ethical finance like green bonds, and the suggestions on how to bolster sukuk's performance in the global market like improved transparency requirements.
