Since Poetic Modernity is characterized both by the individuation of form which was theorized by Symbolism and by the redefinition of the Subject’s status, two opposing views stem from it. The first one postulates an assertion of the Subject in the Poetic process, the other one asserts the disappearance of the Subject. Yet Reverdy’s Poetry and his Poetics would allow us to carry out the synthesis of these two views, at the end of an examination that entails the mobilization of a certain number of theoretical and philosophical foundations (Bergson, Fiser, Blanchot, Foucault).

La modernité poétique étant marquée tant par l’individuation de la forme, théorisée par le symbolisme, que par la redéfinition du statut du sujet, deux conceptions s’affrontent, l’une postulant une affirmation du sujet dans le procès poétique, l’autre son effacement. Or la poésie et la poétique de Reverdy permettraient d’opérer la synthèse de ces deux conceptions, au terme d’un examen qui implique la mobilisation d’un certain nombre de leurs fondements théoriques et philosophiques (Bergson, Fiser, Blanchot, Foucault).
