Objetivo: Relacionar bruxismo con factores psicosocialesen un grupo de niños venezolanos.
Materiales y métodos: En este estudio observacional y transversal se estudió a 209 niños, se evaluó la presencia de bruxismo, además de la edad, género, ambiente familiar y procedencia.
Resultados: El 34,9% de los pacientes presentó bruxismo en edades de entre 3-8 años. 52.02% se presentó en varones. En pacientes sin bruxismo prevalecieron los padres que convivían juntos.
Conclusiones: Varones de entre 3 y 8 años fueron los más afectados por bruxismo. Los padres de niños sin bruxismo mayoritariamente vivían juntos, sin embargo, no es un factor determinante en la ausencia del hábito.
Objective: To relate bruxism with psychological factors in a group of Venezuelan children.

Conclusions: Males between 3 and 8 years were most affected for bruxism. The majority of the parents of children without bruxism were living together. nevertheless it is not a determinant factor in the absence of the habit.
