    En el presente artículo se aborda la prevención de la violencia en escuelas primarias y especiales para lograr la atención integral de la infancia y la adolescencia. Se concibe una vía para contrarrestar la violencia que afecta a la sociedad en general a partir de promover  la educación para la paz y respeto a los derechos humanos. Se partió del análisis crítico de la práctica educativa de los actores, de forma que hicieron visibles actitudes y hechos que tienen relación directa o indirecta con el fenómeno social citado y la forma preventiva para lograr cambios en los modos de actuación.

    The prevention of violence at elementary schools and at schools for the disable to achieve an integral attention to infants and adolescents are discussed in the present article. A way to fight violence, which affects the society in general, is conceived from promoting education for peace and the respect for human rights. It takes as a starting point the critical analysis of the educational practice of the actors, since they took visible attitudes and actions that have direct or indirect relation with the social phenomenon mentioned, and also prevention to achieve changes in the ways of acting.
