    En este trabajo se abordará la situación de los trabajadores independientes en el sistema de seguridad social chileno, teniendo como objetivos, en primer lugar, intentar dar un concepto de trabajador independiente que sea aplicable a la realidad, y así poder entender quienes se incorporan a sistema pero también a quiénes se excluye, y en segundo lugar, dar cuenta de la regulación que existe en el ordenamiento jurídico chileno respecto de este grupo, presentando los problemas y desafíos que pueden observarse atendiendo el estado actual de las relaciones de trabajo en Chile.

    This work will address the situation of independent workers at the chilean social security system, having as purposes, firstly, to give a concept of independent worker that can be applicable to the real scenario, to help understand who are incorporated to the system but also who are excluded, and secondly, give account of the existing regulation regarding this group at the Chilean juridical system, presenting the problems and challenges that can be observed, considering the current state of labor relationships in Chile.
