La fonction d' information des citoyens qui incombe à la Cour des comptes est en pleine évolution. d' un côté la Cour occupe un rôle croissant dans l' information financière publique et par suite dans la transparence. D' un autre côté les finances publiques ne constituent plus son seul horizon de travail, ni sa mission première, la Cour étant investie d' une mission générale plus affirmée au service de la démocratie représentative et des citoyens. Parallèlement l' ère du numérique et de la dématérialisation s' accompagne d' un lien nouveau avec ces derniers.

The role required of the Court of Auditors to inform citizens is envolving. On the one hand, the Court handles a growing role in public financial information and consequently transparency. On the other hand, public finance no longer constitutes ots only realm of activity, or its primary role, as the Court was invested with a more established, general role to serve representative democracy and the citizens. Meanwhile the digital era and dematerialisation go hand and hand with a new connection to the people.
