  • In this work we publish an unpublished Almohad half dinar or quarter dobla, with themint name Fez on side IA with side IIA of the Caliph Abd Al Mumen Ibn ́Ali . 524-558H/1129-1162 A.D. The book Monedas de las Dinastías Arábigo -Espaðolas (1893) by Antonio Vives onlymentions one type of this Caliph without a mint name , catalogue number 2060, and in the book ofHarry W. Hazard there are two references, numbers 467 and 468. Until now no half dinars orquarter doblas have been reported with a mint name. This would be the first known example.
