    Las agenesias o pérdidas de dientes anteriores en pacientes jóvenes se resuelven cerrando ortodóncicamente los diastemas o por medio de un implante oseointegrado. Si se opta por el implante hay que decidir cuál es la edad más temprana para colocarlo. La intrusión simulada del implante aparece por la erupción de los dientes vecinos que siguen creciendo hasta el cese del crecimiento. Con el fin de definir el momento más oportuno para colocar el implante es recomendable tomar una radiografía de la mano y estimar la edad biológica del paciente.

    The loss or incomplete development of anterior teeth in young patients may be treated by the closing of the bone. When the implant is the chosen option the earliest age at which it can be made has to be decided. If the implant is made at a young age it will appear to intrude as neighbouring teeth continue to grow until they reach maturity and growth ceases. The recommended method for deciding on the optimum moment to place the implant is by taking an X-ray of the patient's hand from which the correct biological age may be estimated.
