  • Recovery for car shipping CAR TRAFFIC GROWS IN PORTS Summary: The gradual recovery of the European car industry is having a positive effect on port logistics. In what are favourable times for car exports, certain ports in Germany and Spain with specialized terminals are doing very well, despite weak demand from Russia and China. Six mainland ports are leading the recovery including Barcelona, Valencia and Santander, whose docks receive the largest car carriers in the world and where cars are then distributed by short sea shipping and continent-wide distribution channels, thanks to the potent Spanish car market.
