Offshore TES rescue EMERGENCY RESCUE FROM A HELIMER Summary: This article describes offshore TES rescues. The story is told in the first person by a rescue swimmer from one of the eleven Helimer helicopters operated by INAER, part of the Spanish Maritime Safety Agency´s fleet located along the length of the Spanish coastline. It describes how an emergency rescue unfolds from the time the distress call is received at a Spanish Maritime Safety Agency Coordination or other Centre to the moment the person or persons in danger are lifted out of the sea and their subsequent transfer to land or to a medical centre. The role of the first-aid team in the cabin and the rest of the behind-the-scene action that most people are unaware of are also described
