The lineage of the Solís family crossed “the time boundary”. Ascending from a family in Caceres in the late Middle Ages, the Solises settled in the urbe hispalense in the beginnings of 16th century where they stayed for many generations. As a symbol of their prestigious social status they were patrons of the main chapel of the San Antonio Abad Hospital. They also maintained a close relationship with the Real Maestranza de Caballería de Sevilla (Seville Royal Guild of Arms and Cavalry) and other Seville brotherhoods. They bought the estate of Ojén (Málaga) in 1513 and Rianzuela (Seville) in 1576. They based their prosperity on their entitled estates and agricultural properties located in different areas of the Seville Kingdom. Moreover, the Solises developed various family connections which allowed them to climb the social ladder, to the point of becoming a part of titled nobility when granted the title of Marquis of Rianzuela (1806). Additionally they owned the dehesa of the Torre de la Granja with its estate which was located within the district of Jerez de los Caballeros; this town was where they also had a mansion and where they founded a second entitled estate under the title of Marquis of San Fernando (1806).
