    Este trabajo se centra en los factores principales que al inicio del 2011 desencadenaron las denominadas “primaveras árabes”. A pesar de que en los países árabes el cincuenta por ciento de la población aún no ha cumplido los 25 años, la visibilidad de los jóvenes ha sido nula hasta ese momento. Al manifestarse, los jóvenes reclamaban a las dictaduras autoritarias el respeto de los derechos humanos y una participación política para obtener la dignidad. La calle se convierte para estos jóvenes, hombres y mujeres, en un espacio de reivindicación política y de fraternidad.

    This paper focuses on the main factors that led to the denominated “Arab Spring” at the beginning of 2011. Despite the fact that 50 % of the population from Arab countries is still under 25, the visibility of youth has been absent up to this point. Through the mobilizations, young people demanded the respect of human rights and a greater political participation that would grant them dignity from the authoritarian dictatorships. For these young men and women, the street has become a space for political recognition and fraternity.

    Lan honek Udaberri Arabiarrak deiturikoak bultzatu zituzten aldagaiak ditu aztergai. Arabiar herrietan populazioaren erdi 25 urtetik beherakoa izanagatik, gazteek ikusgarritasun eskasa izan dute. Manifestazioetan gazteek giza eskubideak errespetatzea eta parte hartze politikoa eskatzen zuten. Gazte hauentzat, kalea aldarrikapen politiko eta neba-arrebatasunaren espazio bilkatu zen.
