¿Qué sería del hombre si todos sus recuerdos pudieran ser almacenados y recuperados a su antojo? The entire history of you, episodio de la serie Black Mirror, presenta un escenario futurista de un drama muy antiguo: la celotipia. Las pasiones humanas inquietan el alma, turban el pensamiento y conminan a la acción. La memoria será aquí un objeto privilegiado para nuestro análisis, pero no la memoria entendi‐ da en su condición orgánica, sino la memoria significante; las marcas del recuerdo que hacen huella sobre el cuerpo que deviene acontecimiento. Intentaremos analizar el margen de acción posible frente a la acechanza tecnológica que se cierne sobre el hombre y su mundo. Cómo la biopolítica de los cuer‐ pos planteada por Michel Foucault en los años 70 puede ser retomada desde una perspectiva contem‐ poránea para pensar el declive actual del amor, del deseo y de la sexualidad. Retomaremos algunos tex‐ tos iniciales de la obra freudiana para pensar cómo la memoria y el orden de los recuerdos son una cons‐ trucción subjetiva y singular en el ser humano. Dimensión que habla de una memoria significante capaz de anudar recuerdo, fantasía y deseo. Memoria que al convertirse en objeto de manipulación y gadget del mercado, se vuelve perpetua con efectos devastadores sobre la subjetividad.

What would happen if man could store and recovered all its memories at will? The entire history of you is an episode of the British television drama series which presents a futuristic scenario of a very old sit‐ uation: jealousy. Human passions disturb our soul, trouble our reflections, and pushes us to action.
Memory will be a privileged object for our analysis; not organic memory, but significant memory: this means the trace of memories that perform our body. We will try to analyze the possibilities of our actions against the technological dangers and “progresses”. The scope of biopolitics presented by Michel Foucault in the 70venties could be taken up by the contemporary idea of the current decline of love, desire and sexuality. We will visit some of the Freudian early works to think how memory and the possi‐ bilities of remembrance are a singular construction of human being. This significant memory is capable of knotting remembrance, fantasy and desire. But memory could also become perpetual when it is object of manipulation producing devastating effects on human´s subjectivity.
