    Los "Retratos de los Reyes de España", publicados en los últimos años del siglo XVIII, es una obra que plantea muchos interrogantes. Sobre ella cabe preguntarse hasta dónde intervino Vicente García de la Huerta en la elaboración de los volúmenes editados tras su muerte, si dejó materiales listos para la imprenta que fueron rescatados y utilizados después de su desaparición. Cabe, también, preguntarse sobre cuál fue el plan de composición que se fue utilizando para culminar toda la obra; sobre quién o quiénes fueron los responsables directos de la misma, en sus distintas vertientes; sobre cuántos volúmenes fueron proyectados y publicados; sobre qué impresores fueron encargados de hacerlos accesibles a los lectores interesados del momento; sobre la aceptación que obtuvieron los tomos resultantes entre los receptores de su siglo. De tales asuntos se ocupa la presente investigación.

    "The Portraits of the Kings of Spain", published in the last years of the eighteenth century, it is a work that raises many questions. With such matters the present investigation deals.
