Resumen de L'ideario di Tomaso Buzzi

Paola Tognon

  • Tomaso Buzzi's "ideario".

Tomaso Buzzi is the surprising architect who deployed his acute intelligence in different periods and social contexts. His "ideario", a superb complex of ideas, drawings, designs, lists and notes, is the spirit, testimony and legacy of this.

It is physically a series of designs, ideas, cues, quotations, models and documents on paper that Buzzi collected in the form of drawings and sketches -in loose and bound sheets- and reworked throughout his career. The end itself appears, in his hand, presisely in the group of sheets of decorative pamphlets, applied arts, architecture and competitions that is the most ordered and significant part of his archive now held at Scarzuola, where Buzzi built his ideal city. The entire archive, and in particular the "ideario" (1919-c. 1934), may be considered a kind of guided tour through Buzzi's mind, fundamental for reconstructing his education, artistic practice, career and part of his human adventure.
