Foucault’s model applied to the transit from natural history to evolutionary biologyA synthesis of the ideas of M. Foucault on scientific change is presented, characterized as a metatheoric model of scientific change, with emphasis on its archeological structure. It is applied to the transformation of natural history into evolutionary biology. Some general comments are advanced as well on the implementation of such model.
