La campana de flujo laminar vertical es una cámara donde se establece un flujo de aire vertical descendente, que evita que las micropartículas y aerosoles que se puedan crear al mani- pular los citostáticos salgan al exterior y contaminen al mani- pulador, al mismo tiempo que se evita que la contaminación pase del exterior al interior, creando una barrera entre la zona donde se está manipulando el fármaco y dónde se sitúa el profesional.
El siguiente artículo tiene como objetivo crear un protocolo sobre las normas que deben seguir los profesionales enfer- meros para el manejo de antineoplásicos, cuál es el recorrido que hay desde que un facultativo realiza una prescripción hasta que se administra el tratamiento a un paciente y sobre los tipos de citostáticos que se manejan habitualmente en la Unidad de Farmacia.

The vertical laminar flow hood is a chamber where a flow of air vertically downward, which prevents the microparticles and aerosols that can be created when handling cytostatics go outside and contaminating the manipulator, while avoiding provides that the cross contamination from outside to inside, creating a barrier between the area where the manipulation of the drug and where the professional is located.
The following article aims to create a protocol on rules to be followed by professional nurses for handling antineoplastic, which is the journey there since a doctor makes a prescription until treatment is administered to a patient and the types cytostatics which are usually handled in the Pharmacy Unit.
