This paper will demonstrate how Alfonso Rodríguez Castelao built a Galician transnational identity in his novel Os dous de sempre (1934). He did it first through the use of variable focalizations in which he presented contradictory points of view. Second, he employed an internationalist discourse through which the different characters try to understand and relate their global experience and, third Castelao applied the concepts of migration and exile as semiotically interchangeable.
