The following three papyrus documents shed some light on the finances of a Ptolemaic or Roman household and on the financial administration of Egypt in Roman and Byzantine times. The household account may be one of the first accounts returning to accounting in the silver standard. The second document is a list most likely to be attributed to a logistērion on the nome level, and the third is a request for a boēthos to facilitate the tax collection.
